Our family and ingenuity is how we began
Our Story
Our story started back in September 2001. Our family was standing around the airport carousel after a trip and we couldn't determine our luggage from anyone else's. All we saw was a neverending parade of black bag after black bag, which was ours almost completely indiscernible. By the time we had pulled off the wrong bag for the 3rd time, we had had enough.
"That night we put our heads together and to find a solution and with that, an idea was born."
After talking about it for 13 years we still hadn't created our solution. It would take a cruise in the Spring of 2014. At the end of the cruise, all of our luggage was in one area with thousands of other suitcases that all looked alike. It was at that moment, that we decided to make our dream of 14 years come to life!
To the drawing board, we went, determining fabrications that we thought were best. I cut up my son's wetsuit and that was it! The combination of stretchable, durable, easy-to-clean Neoprene was the answer and the birth of Hey Sassy's sister company was born My Luggage Wrap.
The next year we ventured off onto another Disney cruise, but this time we decided to stand out in the crowd. And WOW, what an impact we had. 9 suitcases, 9 luggage wraps, 9 different Disney characters, and 9 backpacks to match!
